ABOUT
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Meet our Sock It To ‘Em Campaign board of directors.
Philanthropist
“I am the mother of 3 wonderful children who blessed me with a very full schedule! In my spare time, I love giving back to the community and The Sock it to Em’ campaign touched my heart several years ago. Collecting socks is so easy when you surround yourself with generous friends.”
President, Hellerstein & Brenner Vision Center, P.C.
“I am so inspired by the consistent efforts and energy that Co-Founders Sue Lee and Phyllis Shimamoto give to the Sock it to Em Sock Campaign. Their motivation and compassion to serve those who are experiencing homelessness is exemplary. I am honored to serve on the Board of Directors, as I am moved and touched about the need for socks, the mission and the success of the Sock It To ‘Em Sock Campaign.”
Accountability Coach, Justify Or Just Do It Coaching
“I met Sue and Phillis years ago and their passion to serve is contagious. The Sock It To ‘Em Sock Campaign is a “simple” way to give back in a huge way. I love that almost every time I speak to these two women they stress the importance of how every pair of socks counts. No matter how many people they have served they continue to stick to the fundamentals and remain humble. I serve selflessly because it’s an underserved need. I serve selfishly to be in close proximity to amazing people.”
Apoorva Technologies, CEO & CTO
Student
“The energy and dedication that Sue, Phillis, and Tammie bring to Sock It To ‘Em is what drew me to this wonderful organization. Helping others is a true passion of mine and since first being introduced to Sock It To ‘Em in high school, they have always caught my eye. I’m so excited to make an impact in the community with this organization’s mission and vision, aligning with my own values.”
